Re: Hi all greetz from the Netherlands

Goedendag Charlie,

Welcome to Meteotemplate!
I have heard your summer is unusual hot and dry.
Here the really hot months are still to come in September/October.

Re: High CPU usage after API data import

Hi Susan, Weewx can do a lot of tasks when it is time to write the data to the weewx database. Among others it can generate reports and graphs. Default the Standard skin is activated and use 100% cpu on the rpi for several minutes. When not needed, you have to comment out this in weewx.conf. Do you ...

Re: WeeWx data to Meteotemplate (witch method?)

When you are using weewx for gathering data from your weather station, the weewx-meteotemplate uploader from Matthew Wall on github is the proper way. The weewx data will be sent to meteotemplates api. No cron job needed. Currently there is no weewx build-in function for meteotemplate; you will need...

Re: WeeWX-SQLITE to Meteotemplate, UNIX-timestamps

To all weewx users, Currently a general upload utility for 'missed' data is developed by Matthew Wall. The idea is you select a begin and end date in weewx and then this utility will send all available data to the selected programs. This utility will also support Meteotemplate. The data will be send...

Did you check the condition of the 'WIND' connector inside your ISS? Maybe the contacts are corroded or wet.

Re: Min Max not updating

Hi Jon, Discarding old live data used to work in MT but got broken in a newer version. It will be fixed in the next release. You noticed no values of Tmin and Tmax in the live data, so I checked my system. You are right and I think I'm getting (too) old. :-) I always thought the weewx uploader for M...

Re: Power Outages

Hi Marc, After a period of power outage of your weather computer (with weewx) weewx can at startup read missed data for those weather stations which run on solar power or batteries and have local memory to store weather data. Then you can use the weewx export utility for meteotemplate to export the ...

Re: Off Line Notification

Hi, Most of it is already said in this topic. Here are my two cents. In the case my weather station went down due to my paid webserver went down I could do nothing to fix this. I simply had to wait until they were finished with their maintenance. In 99% of the cases I had either a power cut at home ...

Re: Min Max not updating

Hi Jay, I just realized what happened. There is a problem with the automatic deletion of old values in the life data. Will be fixed in the next release of MT. So, when you changed from weewx archive data to weewx loop data, the old Tmin and Tmax values of the archive option stayed in the life data. ...

Re: Min Max not updating

Hi Jay, The weewx meteotemplate uploader has two options: 1. Send loop data Current values are sent as soon as they are received from the weather station No Tmin and Tmax are sent because these values are not provided by the weather station. 2. Send archive data each archive interval (default 5 minu...

Welcome Engelbert,
Slochteren, the place where our Dutch natural gas comes from!
I have used myself a TFA Primus, later TFA Opus, for several years.
Now I use a Davis Vantage 2 weather station.
Since four years I'm retired and moved from Hoofddorp to Paramaribo.

Re: Weewx data upload to Meteotemplate

Ron, It seems to me that two different weewx installation methods are used. /home/weewx is used by installation via setup.py /etc/weewx is used by the debian installation. So probably file meteotemplate.py is not copied to the right directory. I think your installation expects it at /home/weewx/bin/...

Re: WeeWX data export utility ready for testing

Hi Joachim and Jachym, The data received by the api is stored with rounded 5-minute time stamps like 07:20:00, 07:25:00 etc. I think the import program should have the same rounded time stamps. Let me explain. When a csv file has a record with time stamp 07:20:12, it should be better stored with a r...

Re: WeeWX data export utility ready for testing

We need more error checking in the import programs. When no data is found in your database the insert queries possibly failed because of (user) rights.
I will work on it the coming weeks.

Re: WeeWX data export utility ready for testing

Hi Joachim, The problem was with the data of 08:36 where a value of null inches rain was converted to cm. If the import was stopped due to a time-out you can also try to do an import with a date just BEFORE the date it stopped last time (e.g. 2017-04-06 08:38). When it stopped for another reason, it...

Re: Recovering from bad data import

Hi Steve and Jachym, Two remarks. 1. Your data import has an interval of 1 minute while MT default has an interval of 5 minutes. So, after such an import you should run the database reformat script. http://www.mysite.com/install/reformat.php BTW. It would be great when the import data program would ...

Re: WeeWX data export utility ready for testing

Hi Joachim, I will send you a new version of export_mt.py which will continue after a TypeError. Then only the line(s) with 'bad' data will be skipped in the export. Then you say in your last message that the last imported row is data set 11562. I wonder: how do you know? To my knowledge there is no...

Hi Jachym and MonyMony,
See the following about date and time notations around the world:

There seems to be five different regions.
The US seems to have a population minority ;-)

Re: Recovering from bad data import

Hi Steve,
Can you send me your import file (to ljm.heijst@gmail.com) together with the settings you applied to the import program?
May be we can sort things out.
If necessary you can delete the period with bad data from your MT database.
Cheers, Luc
