Re: Meteotemplate - process of updating

I have back revved PHP to 7 and I have no plans to go back to 8.x until Jachym has a little more time to look at issues. I realise Jachym is very busy and does all this work in his spare time, but I would just suggest it is unwise to do a major code release when you know you have little time to deal...

Re: Meteotemplate - process of updating

Exactly what I found. API updates were not reliable. I went back to PHP 7.x to get it working again.
Shame Jachym has been so silent on this thread over last couple of weeks.

Re: Meteotemplate - process of updating

I have back revved the PHP to 7.4 as I was finding that my meteotemplate site was showing offline too much. The realtime current bloc/dials were still showing current readings though.
FYI - I use the meteotemplate API (from Weather Display)

Re: Meteotemplate - process of updating

Hi all, I have just done the upgrade from 18 to 19 and PHP 7.x to PHP 8.2.10. As far as I can see after a quick look most of the site is still working OK, EXCEPT the Steelseries Gauges plugin (4.0) is no longer working (all showing 0/min). This still works on my site if I run under PHP 7 but not if ...

Re: Many bad user records in Usermap.txt for UserMap block

Ok - things are not as bad as I had feared because although there are a lot of php errors on the Users part of the meteotemplate websit there are also good records (if you scroll past the errors) and apparently my script can handle that (pleasently suprised) so the user file is now being updated aga...

Re: Many bad user records in Usermap.txt for UserMap block

Unfortunately this appears to be broken at the moment (could be forever...). If you go to http://www.meteotemplate.com/ and click on the Users tab you will just see php errors: Warning: Undefined array key "Alt" in /data/web/virtuals/104571/virtual/www/web/users.php on line 17 If and until...

Re: Many bad user records in Usermap.txt for UserMap block

Hi
I download Jachym's central users file each week and check it so you would need to get Jachym to update his central one for it to appear in my checked version - http://www.meteotemplate.com/web/users.php

Re: Many bad user records in Usermap.txt for UserMap block

Yea - that will work of course - only trouble is that if the 'old' site uses a domain name you pay for (which in my case it did) - you have to keep paying for it when you don't really use it.!

Re: Many bad user records in Usermap.txt for UserMap block

Glad you find it useful. I'm not sure whether Jachym is still updating this file now, but I download it and update it each week anyway. I only say this because I requested an update in July (I moved house and changed the url to my weather website) and he has not dealt with it yet - he said it would ...

OK - this only applies to 6 websites (0.3% approx of the 1500 listed), so not really worth worrying about.

Re: Many bad user records in Usermap.txt for UserMap block

Hi José, I think it is simple, if the link does not work - for whatever reason - I don't want to see it. I don't want to have to try various alternative url's in case one of them just might work. It is the responsibility of the owner of the weather website to check at least once on meteotemplate.com...

Re: Many bad user records in Usermap.txt for UserMap block

OK - this is now fixed and txt files have been updated. In fact this has increased the total verified sites to 998 (from 932), so thanks for promptly bringing that to my attention. I have also added a link to the latest verified users.txt file in my signature - this will never be more than a week ol...

Re: Many bad user records in Usermap.txt for UserMap block

That is an interesting one.

Powershell comes back with this error
"Invoke-WebRequest : The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel."

I think it is to do with the TLS version that Powershell tries to use. I may have a fix for that - will check it out shortly

Many bad user records in Usermap.txt for UserMap block

Just an FYI re the UserMap plugin. I was a bit fed up with clicking on the url links to users websites only to find that the link was dead. The users.txt file has about 1500 records in it and about a third can't be contacted. This may be a for a variety of reasons but probably mostly because the sit...

Ran http://www.<mysite>.com/install/tableCreate.php Ran the Database Update Setup in the admin me...

Moved location - need to empty database

I have moved to another part of the UK and changed my existing meteotemplate site info/website to reflect this change and now the url is www.dumfries-weather.com (was www.eastberks-weather.com). This is going well. Now I would like to empty my meteotemplate database as it is full of info about a dif...

Jachym, Is there a possibility that the rain block could have the option to show the month and year comparison against the new precipitation normals values introduced with MT16? May be an option in the settings for the rain block. I have only started in 2016 so the comparison is of limited use (as y...

Re: Installation of Version 16

I agree with that :D Mentioning the word combination "windows update" when talking to me is strictly forbidden. As a Linux user, forced to use Win7 at work and also help colleagues with it, I truly hate it, it is almost unbelievable that such large company came up with this. If I wanted t...
