Hmm.. Not mine either. I'm showing 17.1. No notification to update to v18.
I know the past updates has been done manually (upload the folder) and run the script.

Re: https warning
I have a script that changes http to https. Once the script runs (Every so often), my padlock turns green, as shown below.

Re: https warning
There is a plugin/block retrieving http information, thus not seeing the green lock. Mine shows it every once in a while. These screenshots are taken from Firefox. Other browsers should be able to show you this information. Click on the lock and select More information: 2.jpg Select Media Tab: 3.jpg...

Re: End of Service for the Weather Underground API
Interesting read.
This really has me interested.. "If you are a Personal Weather Station owner, you will receive more information about our plan to offer free access to the data you provide to Weather Underground. We’ll reach out once that plan has been finalized."

Re: Interactive Sticker and Comma in the TEXT= parameter (Work-Around)
This is strange. I have a comma in my sig and it's working correctly in Firefox. Strange. Maybe it freaks out with 2 commas. I'm going to test it. Yay! I know why it’s not working.
Delete MariaDB 10 and install 5. 10 runs on a different port (not standard), thus it’s not “seeing” it.

Re: Hosting Meteotemplate on a Synology NAS
Hmm... I am at a loss. Let me churn on this some more. The error you are receiving is tied around either incorrect hostname and/or incorrect credentials to the DB. Did you create a different username for the DB, or are you using the default root creds? If you created different creds, you can login u...

Re: Hosting Meteotemplate on a Synology NAS
The database name you provided in the main setup file, did you give the username full permissions to that database?
Also, provide a password to the DB username and provide that password in the setup file (For troubleshooting)..

OK, let's drill down on the PHP settings.
What do you have when you click on the Web Station? Your General Settings? And, your PHP Settings (Let me know what extensions you have checked)?

Re: Hosting Meteotemplate on a Synology NAS
In phpMyAdmin (when creating the user), what host did you provide? The IP address of your NAS, 128.0.0.1, or “localhost”? (I think you mentioned that in your above post. Just want to make sure). The 2002 error is either mySQL not running, or incorrect hostname provided. In the main template setup, y...

Re: Hosting Meteotemplate on a Synology NAS
First off, you don’t need to allow anything through the firewall. You will want to delete the rule you created for php. The template will communicate with php internally. No data is shared with the outside world (no incoming connections to your DB). Securing php on a Synology is challenging. It’s po...

Re: Hosting Meteotemplate on a Synology NAS
I run my website off of my Synology DS916+. I am running a few errands today. Let me re-read what is going on and see if I can help later on. It is possible... We will get you running. First off, everyone has access to your phpMyAdmin. You have to set it up so your local IP range has access only or ...

Re: Web Hosting Suggestions
I can't comment on either hosting providers. The only provider that I'm very familiar with is GoDaddy. If you don't have a hosting account, and can pay for like 5-10 years up front, you can save substantially. They have always been up, and I like their online tools (cPanel, etc). * I do not work for...

Re: Wunderground API Changes?
I've stopped providing my data to Wunderground a while ago. They don't deserve MY data anymore. They need to remember WHO helps them pay their bills. "WE" the PWS owners upfront the costs of the devices, internet connection, and share our data with WU. I guess since they are part of IBM (T...

I have successfully removed the bottom URL, icon, and the lower right-hand side of the sticker. I use the interactive sticker, so I modified stickerInteractive.php file. You have to create a new tab in order to change the big icon. You can't modify the icon once the tab has been created. What I did was edit the current tab and copy the code (Paste it in notepad, etc). Delete that tab. Re-create the tab and follow the instructions on that page (I attached a screen sh...

Re: Unable to pull data from NWS sites via https
I run the NWS forecast block on my page and my website is using https. It's working fine. My website is running on my Synology NAS, running Apache 2.4. My link might not work for some Countries. I was getting multiple 'hits'/probes by some, so I decided to block them. :( What doesn't 'work'? Doesn't...
