Re: Webcam question
I have several of these options on my website as well. I have a live feed. I also upload the current webcam image every 2 minutes. I also have a timelapse video from the previous day. I use three different programs to do this. I use Blue Iris to manage the webcam and to be the webserver for the live...

Re: New Webcam Running
Everything continues to work well. Here is the timelapse video. It updates every night around 8:30 pm GMT -5 (I believe).

Re: New Webcam Running
Thanks Tom. I added a folder synchronizer program and switched blue iris to putting the .jpg in the folder that is synchronized. I added a simple program from ftpbox.org. Right now I have the pictures being generated every 30 sec., but the ftp sync is only taking place every 2 minutes. Yesterday was...

Re: plugin rain balance
Just to highlight this again, the choice defaults back to "mm" every time you make any other change. So if you want to make changes and you use "inches" in the history setting for temperature normals, you have to remember to change "mm" back to "in" because if...

I like this a lot and I would probably get one (even though it seems expensive), but since it does not support the Meteotemplate, it does me no good.

Re: New Webcam Running
Tom, I do have a question for you. I am trying to figure out what the possible causes of an issue could be. Let me tell you what the problem is and then let me tell you what I have done about it. The issue is that with blue iris the ftp stops working at 4:03 am every morning. Also, late in the day, ...

Re: New Webcam Running
The webcam was pretty easy to install. I decided to use the blue iris software and IpTimeLapse software to make a daily timelapse video of the day before. The Blue Iris is complex, but I do not need it to use 50% of its capabilities. I just want it to post a picture by ftp to my website every minute...

Re: New Webcam Running
Yep. I certainly have a lot of bugs at night. I hope to have the final part of this project up and running in a few days and it will involve using IPTimeLapse software to make a video from the pictures and have it uploaded onto the website nightly. If it works as planned, every night the computer wi...

Re: New Webcam Running
I was able to set up a web server at my home and I now have a live feed running. It may have some limitations, but so far I really like it.

New Webcam Running
I set up a new webcam.
The ftp seems to be working
You can see it at:

I still have some work to do before I call this project completed. But I will wait to see if I can do what I want to do.

Re: "windy" and "countDown" blocks quit
I hope the update went well. I have several custom changes that I have made to several blocks. Sometimes it is hard to remember them all until after the update when it all reverts back to the way it was.

Re: Normals Figures
I have found that every time I make a change to this page, I have to change the precipitation from mm's back to inches. It always reverts back to mm's the next time I open the page. Then if I do not change it back before I press save, it changes the yearly averages to mm's. This shows up on the rain...

Re: US NWS Change Breaks Forecast & Discussion Blocks - Easy Fix
Since they made the change, the South Texas radars on the National Map have been showing a lot of ground return. They need to make a few more adjustments.
Re: weeWX
I am using the meteobridge to upload the data directly into a mySQL server on my ISP. It has been pretty solid in its operation. I would be interested in knowing what the difference is between the two.
