Welchen Webhoster nehmen?

WD Api does not automatically update anymore

Hi, For about a week now, i don't get any more updates from the api. The console window (i am using weather display console) reads "Meteotemplate data send ok" but after that nothing happens. I had already checked the update password and made sure that the paths are correct and even did a ...

Great photos, especially the first one with the clear air bolt is outstanding. 8-)

Here are some photos of mine, taken two weeks ago from my apartment during a nocturnal thunderstorm over my city.

Re: Graph Combined

Hi, Have the problem with the rain not being reset at midnight as well. Apart from that issue a very useful addition to the template, especially for people who don't want to read just "naked numbers". :) I have it on the mobile page for that reason as well. And i also agree with Tom and No...

Re: Weather in January 2018

We set a new record low last night of 10 degrees Fahrenheit. Ken Hi Ken, Just looked up where you are and such a low down south not very far from the Gulf Coast is really amazing. On the same hand, you can also get easily in the 70s or 80s F just a few days after such a cold. Here, we have just set...

Weather in January 2018

Hi, what is the weather doing where you live? Here in Northern Germany the absence of winter weather continues- its much more like autumn at present with windy and showery conditions. So far we only had five days with frost with a lowest minimum of -4.0°C, which is the lowest winter minimum so far (...

Reformatting not working after April 1st 2016 anymore

Hi, It looks like the reformatting tool is not working anymore for my database. I used it a while ago to have the intervals of my large database (starting in 2006) on the same level (5 minutes) and that worked back then. Until January 6th 2018 i used the import file option from Weather Display so th...

Thanks guys,

The space after the "=" was indeed the issue here. Api is working now.
Incredible that such a tiny error can cause such a big malfunction. :o

Raspberry PI 3 + Weather Display + Meteotemplate- Need help with setup

Hi guys, I had just recently bought a Raspberry PI 3 as a replacement for my well-aged laptop. It runs with the latest raspbian version and with the latest consolewd (Console version of Weather Display specifically for the Raspberry). In the config file there is also a meteotemplate section. There i...

Re: Cold weather in North America

That's some pretty cold temperatures! The record low of my town is almost -22°C (-7°F) and this was recorded already in winter 1928/1929. I very often complain when we get mild and rainy weather in winter, like it is currently the case here, on the other hand i couldn't imagine having -30 or -40 low...

Re: Weather in October 2017

This year (September and October) has definitely been a windy one for Europe, especially when compared to previous years. True, last October was quite the contrary here, rather dry and cold with only slight winds. Here in Northern Germany we have been hit badly by the two storms "Xavier" ...

Hallo zusammen,

Re: Pictures of official weather stations

These are two pictures the official weather station on Norderney, one of the east frisian islands in Northwestern Germany. It is positioned in the dune chain, very close to the North beach. It is usually not open to the public, so i had to take the picture of the instruments with some distance. The ...

Re: Normals introduced in version 16

For Germany, you can find the average monthly temperatures and precipitation here. A click on the links opens a new window. Data is available for the longterm periods of 1961-1990 (which is still used by German Weather Service), 1971-2000 and also 1981-2010. http://www.dwd.de/DE/leistungen/klimadate...

Hi,

I can also confirm that the update went very easy and pretty fast. I have already tested the automatic block and plugins update feature and this is working perfectly. Thanks a lot for that great update Jachym, i can only say it was well worth the wait. :) Keep up the great work.

Heat Index calculation wrong?

Hi, I noticed in the current conditions block, that the calculation of the heat index seems to be wrong- currently the temperature is 14.2°C with a humidity of 73%. The apparent temperature looks correct -there's a storm here going on at present, so it definately feels like its below 10°C. However t...

We had some indian-summer-like days, the past week with sunshine everyday and highs up to 23°C here. But now it looks like that the first signs of autumn are knocking on the door, a cold front is currently coming in with high winds and rain. The temperature has dropped from about 18 to now 15°C in t...

Re: Weather Phrases Around The World

"Abendrot- Schönwetterbot' literally translated "Evening red brings nice weather", since our weather mostly comes from the Atlantic (West), a red sunset/afterglow can (often) be an indicator of nice weather for the next 12-24 hours. And analogically: "Morgenrot- schlecht Wetter d...
