choose of internetbrowser

Post by alexvanuxem » Thu Feb 03, 2022 5:09 pm

Hi all,

I'm a newbie here, so bare with me.

I fooled around with my template at work in internet explorer (needed always to cick 'display conten), and with firefox.
In the later it worked perfect.
It didn't work in edge.

Back at home, I tried to do the same. None of them work.

Can somebody please explain why?

Thx!

Alex

I can see correctly your site ( with firefox and edge )

As you can see the block current report as offline.
This is due to a time difference between web server and meteobridge ( or other uploading software/device you are using )
Your cache/apiLog.txt reports:

Code: Select all

Authorized access.
Current date/time: 2022-02-03 22:38:51
api called by http
update U: 1643923057
update SW: meteobridge
update T: 7.3
update TMX: 7.3
update TMN: 7.3
update H: 90
...

Save meteotemplateLive.txt: {"U":1643923057,"SW":"meteobridge","T":7.3,"TMX":7.3,"TMN":7.3,"H":90,"P":1014.4,"W":3.6,"G":6.5,"B":238,"R":0,"RR":0,"S":0,"UV":0,"TIN":21.3,"HIN":50,"UTime":1643924331,"SWTime":1643924331,"TTime":1643924331,"TMXTime":1643924331,"TMNTime":1643924331,"HTime":1643924331,"PTime":1643924331,"WTime":1643924331,"GTime":1643924331,"BTime":1643924331,"RTime":1643924331,"RRTime":1643924331,"STime":1643924331,"UVTime":1643924331,"TINTime":1643924331,"HINTime":1643924331,"D":5.7,"DTime":1643924331,"A":5.6,"ATime":1643924331}
Start data parsing
Parsing date; Server time: 2022-02-03 22:38:51
Validating date: 1643923057 (2022-02-03 22:17:37)
Date is valid; difference with server time is -1274 s
I think you should correct the meteobridge time.

P.S.
You can't change the 'name' of block ( if block ssGauges has to be in directory homepage/blocks/ssGauges )
This will be a long night ; - )

Hi David,

thanks again for answer. I managed to get it working on firefox, I found some settings I could change.
Did not found them on edge, I'm afraid.

For the data: that's strange, if you look at http://www.sint-katelijne-waver-meteo.be/dashboard.html
it will show the dashboard.html of the meteobridge, you can see its maybe 30 sec behind on correct time, but not 22 minutes.

I asked my webserver hosting vendor for explanation, could it be still something different?

About the gauges, for some strange reason yesterday when I downloaded them from the site it was called 'steel series gauges master'.
Now it's called 'ssgauges'????

Thank you

I see your server time is ok, but the timestamp that meteobridge passes is incorrect ( 21 minutes late ).
Recheck your meteobridge time setting ( not sure the link you posted shows meteobridge time, it could well show server time )
How are you installing blocks? The easier way is via meteotemplate control panel:

blockinstall.png
blockinstall.png (323.1 KiB) Viewed 2072 times

If this does not work for you try installing this mod ( well it is not a mod this is an original script from Jachym, for some unknown reason the copy I received was incomplete, this is a complete and working one )

Yes, I think its too fast ( but you can try ). Another user had a similarly fast update rate, he had the problem of having the database updated 3 times every 5 minutes ( with 3 identical records ). Not sure, but I think the cause could be the concurrent execution of multiple api.php scripts or something like this.
For example you could check via phpmyadmin if there are too many/stuck active database processes ( or check if execution is taking too long )
