radarUK
My radarUK image now has the following caption.
It had been working yesterday.
I have looked at the Block settings and the API for MetOffice is still in place.
It seems it is to do with Google Maps.
I have a Google API Key but I cannot remember where this might go in Meteotemplate.
It also asks for credit/debit card details. Is this something I have to set up and is their a charge made.
I don't want to go down that route and it would be easier for me to remove the block.
Any suggestions please.

Hi G4MHJ,
Log into your MT website, go to the 'Administration' section and then click on 'Main Setup' it's the third section down 'Google Maps API key.

Re: radarUK
Thanks Johnny.
I had actually forgotten this entry but it was already there.
Seems something has changed with Google Maps. There has been a billing change 18th July so maybe that is something to do with it. Looking at the Google API request section there are lots of API choices so I am not sure which one is appropriate for radarUK.
My credit card details were already there so it could just be an End date issue. However, now it states it cannot locate my URL??
Everything is just getting too complicated....

Yes, it is getting complicated, maybe a fellow member can point you in the right direction. For what it's worth my Google API restrictions are set to 'None'
Apparently you get $200 free each month, but it's not clear what each view of your map costs. Here's one of their Q&As:
"How is pricing structured for the Maps product?
For each map load, there is a per-load cost, which varies depending on whether it’s a static or dynamic map load or a static or dynamic Street View load. At no additional cost, your users can pan, zoom in and out, and change layers on their maps as much as they’d like."
All very ambiguous and vague, more here if anyone's interested: https://cloud.google.com/maps-platform/pricing/

Re: radarUK
Just opened my experimental meteotemplate page and the radarUK has opened correctly. Maybe Google were having a glitch! Thanks for your replies and advice Johnny.

Re: radarUK
Hi,
this is the change I warned about a few months ago, the question is how long Google will tolerate the API keys without billing details....

Re: radarUK
My "fix" was getting a one year free trial of Map API ("You have €259.89 in credit and 363 days left in your free trial.") At least all error messages are gone now. I will probably end up in the ditch after personal bankruptcy. I'm not sure if there is any other way to fix this....

Re: radarUK
My maps are still working and I did not and will not provide my card details to Google. Looks to me like they only apply this new policy to new google maps users
