Migrating to a new host
Has anyone has luck with this? It should be as easy as exporting and then re-importing the database and then installing a fresh copy correct? DidI miss anything?

Re: Migrating to a new host
Hi Gatewayy,
In a few weeks I will be attempting the same thing, I wondered if I could simply copy the contents of my folder with FileZilla, in my case watfordweather.uk, then simply upload the same content to the same folder on the new hosting site. Then once it's uploaded, change the name servers from the old hosting site to the new one and in theory it should carry on.
Or am I being very simplistic and nieive about this?

You will also need to export your data from the old server and import it into the new database on the new server.Johnny wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2019 9:30 pm Hi Gatewayy,

Re: Migrating to a new host
I ended up just doing a fresh install as I have not messed with the template since I first set things up. and I didn't need to do a database import as it appears what Weathercat worked all last night while I was asleep and uploaded all the missing data which I did not know it would do. Thus far everything is working correctly.
