On the ninth of November 12:40, our weather site stopped working, it only displays blank. I spent several days/hours with my server vendor to find a reason. The problem is partly solved. My service provider after some time admitted the upgrade from PHP 7.4 to 8.0 on the 9th of November, which caused the problem. ( they had warned me, but I never read the warning), However when running the meteotemplate configuration, 8..0 is accepted as a valid PHP configuration, I have now rolled back to 7.4, and it now looks fine. So the question is 8.0 supported, and if so, how do I upgrade. Do I need to do something spesiell?

Re: Support for PHP 8
just tried updating my server to 8.1 and the Meteotemplate failed big time even the database failed to update so have put mine back to 7.4 for now but support for 7.4 ends November 2022 so now have to decide if i retire it or not
will the proposed replacement work with the same database or will it be a start from scratch job

Re: Support for PHP 8
I started the conversion of meteotemplate to php 8.0
An initial, but old, preview is available here: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=2170
Would like to post an update soon to php 8.1 ( currently my server is on php 8.0 )
P.S.
Even if support will be terminated I think that hosting providers will continue to provide php 7.4 ( mine let me select from the control panel php from ver 5.2, quite old, to ver 8.0 ) so that we'll have enough time for the conversion.
