Loading Meteo Station Data in Server Folders
Good morning everybody,
I write here to ask you a question regarding the folders where data and information are saved to let meteotemplate to work.
In my case, my supplier (who sold me the meteo station) has created a meteotemplate dashboard in its website, associated to my meteo station. So I have not access to the folders where the data are loaded.
Now I'd like to create my website, but I don't want to lose the data loaded till now.
For this reason I ask you which are the folders (or the files) I have to ask to the supplier, in order to replace them to the default ones.
I hope I have explained the situation in a good way.
My station is Davis Vantage Vue with Meteobridge.
Thank you,
best regards and happy new 2021.

Hello and welcome, MatteoCarnelos!
In Meteotemplate control panel you select "Backup (station data)". This will give you a csv-file per year with all your data for download. Or, if you have access, you can export the alldata-table from your SQL-Server.
Cheers and Healthy New Year!

Hello Iatros and thank you for your reply.
Just to be clear, with
I ask it because in default folders and default files I don't find a table named "alldata", and this maybe happen because it is not populated with data from the meteo station.
Thank you very much.
Just to be clear, with
do you mean to export all the folders loaded in the server (every file and folder in folder named "template") or just a file in a specific folder named "alldata"? And, if it is a specific file, can you give me the accurate address of this "all data" table?you can export the alldata-table from your SQL-Server

Hello, MatteoCarnelos,
No, you will find nothing by searching your meteotemplate files. The database 'alldata' is different matter. This is a database used normally for the input and retrieval of information. It will need your host site to support a database.
Then read the Wiki here
http://www.meteotemplate.com/web/wiki/wiki3GB.php
very carefully.
Regards,
John

Re: Loading Meteo Station Data in Server Folders
Hello,
sorry but I don't understand
Is there a way to create a new meteotempate internet site, but maintain the history data got from the meteo station till today?
In my case
- the "old" site and the server where the meteo station data are currently saved is manage by a seller
- the "new" site and the server where the meteo station data will be saved is manage from me.
Thank you.
Best Regards.

As the previous hint says, you find the details in the WIKI how to bring your historic data to the new database.

Re: Loading Meteo Station Data in Server Folders
Hi Matteo, as already said by John, you can do the following:
a) in the old meteotemplate, go to the control panel and do a backup
b) in the new meteotemplate, go to the control panel and do in import
If you don't have access to the control panel of the old meteotemplate site, ask the seller to do it for you.

Re: Loading Meteo Station Data in Server Folders
Hello everybody,
sorry for the late reply.
I asked the data file to the seller and finally he gives it to me.
So, now I have the "alldata" csv file shown in the following image.
What have I to put in the tabs?
Sorry for the, maybe, stupid question.
Thank you.

Re: Loading Meteo Station Data in Server Folders
I added an header to your data ( if you import your data without header simply set 'Header row' to No ) and imported using the following settings:
( check if the column naming is correct, set the unit of measure as required )
when you click 'Test import' you should see something like this ( do not consider the year, I had to change it, but it is correct in your data ):
www.davidefabbri.net/files/alldata_2021-12-28a.csv
