moonPhase Block Icons

Post by psper » Mon May 31, 2021 3:21 pm

Hi all,

I use moonPhase Block but moon icons are correct only for South Hemisphere.
I think that for North hemisphere they are wrong.
It is diferente between north and south hemisphere.

Do you know how to correct this?

Thanks in advance,
Paulo

For those wishing to try the Moonphase block with the real-time graphics of the Moon-Earth phases, you can download the block in ZIP format attached below.
Remember to save the original block on the server or on your PC if you want to restore.

UPDATE to the moonPhase block.

The "Show the other side of the Earth on the Earth-Moon image" configuration has been added to the block.
This setting displays the opposite side of the Earth (Pacific zone) to the standard position (Atlantic zone).
Useful for Meteotemplate users to view the terminator (fictitious line on the Earth that delimits the illuminated part from the shaded part) on their Continent.

ver 2.3
- updated earth/moon visualization ( to use fourmilab scripts )
- added few configuration option

ver 2.4
- removed stale css #footer definition ( which caused a footer text color change )

Hello Davide, Since the installation of moonPhase Block, the footer has some sharpness problems, test carried out uninstalling the Block. ditto on different browsers and on sites that have installed it.
Do you have any idea about this problem.
and thank you for your work

Yes, you are right, there was an an erroneous css definition that caused this.
Updating to v2.4 should fix it: viewtopic.php?t=2068#p12849
