Leaflet javaScript library

Post by Steve Harpin » Sun Feb 04, 2018 3:57 pm

Has anyone any ideas or opinions as to whether Leaflet would enhance or, indeed, conflict with, any aspects of meteotemplate. I noticed a link on the Antarctica plugin which took me to the Leaflet download site. I have unpacked the download and uploaded it to a separate folder inside the root directory. Now I am pondering the advisability of using it in any way.

Hi,
Leaflet is used in many blocks and plugins, I started using it about 1 yr after starting MT. Initially I used Google Maps, but it is slower and less flexible so the newer scripts use Leaflet.

So you think there is no advantage to be gained by enabling Leaflet actually on my site?

I am not sure I understand. What do you mean by "enabling"? Leaflet is a library that you include like any other Javascript library. It is IMHO better than Google Maps and also open-source
