New Wind Record !!

Hi there!
We had here in Switzerland quite strong winds last night. Apparently it was another cold front passing over our heads.
This is how my Davis station recorded a new record gust at 70.2 km/h at around midnight.
The graphs show the characteristics of a cold front: temperature decreasing and pressure increasing.

The month of December is interesting from a pressure point of view as well: it has been below 1000 hPa 5 days out 15 !




Indeed much more things are happening this month of December 2017 than the previous years !!!

That's cool! Classic cold front signature. Do you also see a shift in wind direction, or does topography have a large effect at your location?

Hi Jon,
No real shift, because of the topography. It can happen, but not this time.
I have visited your site. Always intersting to have a look at other places climate. Pretty dry during the summer period, I see.
