Merging two sources into one MT unit?

Post by Julius » Fri Jul 07, 2023 8:36 am

For my wind measurements I have a netatmo anemometer and meteobridge (which gets its data from currently an ecowitt, but changes to barani when I get that working again). Both send data to MT.
Is it possible to merge two wind-meters into one database unit at MT ?
Let me explain; The netatmo sends wind data only every 5 minutes, but the meteobridge sends it a lot more often (almost realtime for some events). I would just like to enter both into one readout unit for MT, so the two meters get in the same db and when required averaged into one for better accuracy. How do I accomplish this?
I'm not sure where and how I can change or adapt meteobridge output to units for MT so they are correctly converted etc.
Currently looks like in the MB live raw data wind is in meters/second, I have no idea if and where that gets converted to km/h.

Thanks for any and all help with this.

Yes it is possible and it is done automatically once you set up both 'data feeds' to meteotemplate.
If I understand correctly your netatmo feed is not working any more so I'd start from this.

When sending data to meteotemplate via api.php script you ( I mean the sending program/script ) should send the data in the appropriate unit of measure ( for example meteotemplate expects temperatures in °C... ).
When sending data via a meteotemplate plugin, is the plugin itself responsible for this conversion.
