Are any files common?
I'm about to switch to a different weather station. Currently I have a Davis pro 2 and I'm planning on replacing it with an Ecowitt WS3900. I think it would be best to just go with a clean install of the MT software. I'm wondering if any of my current block, plugin or other configuration files can just be copied to the new installation. I'm sure there would have to be some editing done with respect to file locations. Anybody tried this in the past?

Re: Are any files common?
The homepage/blocks and plugins directories contain all the blocks and plugins ( including respective configurations ) and can be copied.
Not sure the clean install will be that different from the actual one.
You could also install the new version on the same server ( on different directory ), but you need a different database, having both version 'running' together
