Notification email for new max / min records

Notification email for new max / min records
A new plugin idea is for getting notified (email and or Twitter?) when the station has set a new min or max record for temp, rain rate, wind speed, just all the values really. Or is there already a way that I've not yet come across? I've just looked at the Notifications plugin, but this new plugin would just notify when a new value is recorded, not every day.

Hi,
I remember I explained this in quite some detail about a yr ago in one of the newsletters. This thing is impossible to do when you think about how it would work in reality.
Eg. at 12:00 you set a new record -> tweeted
what if the temperature rises gradually and every minute you would have a new tweet
What if another record is set?
There is so many options and scenarios and it would end up in hundreds of notifications.
Also think about new users, their db is almost empty, so new record would be almost every day.
