Hi guys,
I had just recently bought a Raspberry PI 3 as a replacement for my well-aged laptop. It runs with the latest raspbian version and with the latest consolewd (Console version of Weather Display specifically for the Raspberry).
In the config file there is also a meteotemplate section. There i filled in the path to where the api.php file is located, so
in my case: http://weatherfrog80.bplaced.net/template/api.php and my Meteotemplate password.
However nothing is being updated at all, the last update was at 0:35 when i closed Weather Display on my old laptop and started the Raspberry. However the clientraw files are being updated regularly, so the FTP seems to work.
Does anyone have a similiar setup and can help me?
Best Regards
Georg

Re: Raspberry PI 3 + Weather Display + Meteotemplate- Need help with setup
This may be the reason.
JayMeteotemplate works or via ftp upload OR api but if you use the api, no need for ftp upload
If you want to use ftp you need to run a cron if I remember, if API, no need for cron
when you are in terminal on the PI and you launch ./wdconsole .. you see the lines popping up once running. And every x time a line with the api result (and data)
Once you close the terminal wdconsole doesn't run anymore as closing the console= killing the process
you need this to get it working without logging in : https://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index ... #msg476764

Thanks guys,
The space after the "=" was indeed the issue here. Api is working now.
Incredible that such a tiny error can cause such a big malfunction.
Regards
Georg

Hello Georg,
I am Marc from Antwerp, Belgium, i see that you got your ConsoleWD working together! For some reason it is not working as it should with me. It starts up, it is collecting data and is even ftp-ing them to my site, but there are no data sent to my meteotemplate, i also have the WXSIM soft, but unfortunately that does not work with Cumulus (which i am using now), perhaps you can give me a few pointers?
A big thank you in advance from Antwerp..
Marc
