New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
I have created new light and dark transparent Tempest weatherstation icons.
Can anyone tell me how I can get them into my site, preferably as a mticon? I have replaced and renamed “station.png” with the new icon but nothing has changed.

To change it in your signature path = /template/plugins/stickers
To change it in your plugin page 'My Station' path = /template/icons
Chances of getting as an mticon = none, unless you can create/edit a a .ttf file.

Re: New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
I don’t want to change my sticker. I am setting up a new MT website with a Tempest station I am evaluating, and want the icon displayed throughout that site, as it is with the Vue icon in my WessexWeather site.
Problem is MT doesn’t have a built-in Tempest icon.

Re: New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
If you mean something like I did in my site... prepare to pay a shed load of money....
It took me a very long time to do it ( don't know why, maybe the caching of the browser, the caching of the server... but certainly I'm getting old ).
You have to use fontastic to create these icons:
- register
- load the already define icons ( attached ) and select all
- in the tab 'customize' modify the names of the icon 'zdavisvueblack' to davisvueblack (*)
- add the new icons and select them
- in the tab 'customize' verify/modify the names of the new icons
- click 'modify font', set 'font name' -> meteotemplate and 'css class prefix' -> mticon
- you can download the new font in the tab 'publish'
NOTE
(*) this is a workaround I found necessary ( without it the icons where ''shifted' a couple of positions )
P.S.
This is only to add/modify a new mticon.
The icons folder and the sticker plugin folder both contain a station.png image you may want to modify also.

Re: New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
Thanks for this, I will have a good look when I have some time.
What do you mean by this costing a shed load of money? How much are we talking about?

Re: New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
I've managed to load all 225 attached icons into Fontastic, and created a new svg icon for the Tempest (using Convertio). How do I now get this new Tempest icon into the mticon set? Do I have to add it, then manually rename all 226 fonts as per the attached icons-reference.html, then download them and replace the font file in Meteotemplate? This would take a long time!

Re: New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
Simply add the new svg, select it and rename rename it.
As meteotemplate uses css mapping, I think that only the first part of the 'table' ( css class mapping ) is important

Re: New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
Your screenshots show the icon set mapped with the names used in Meteotemplate. Mine show the images but no names, just “meteotemplate-0”, “meteotemplate-1”... etc.
Do I have to rename all those manually??

Re: New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
They should retain the name of the single svg files ( so you don't have to raname all).
At first I had the same problem as I loaded meteotemplate.svg ( which includes all svg packed together )
Then I unpacked it in single svg files.
** NOTE **
Sorry, my mistake, I uploaded the wrong file ( the file generated by fontastic ), use, instead, the attached file and you should good to go

Re: New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
Than you Davidefa,
I finally got there!
For owners of the WeatherFlow Tempest weather station, I have attached all the files you need to replace.
1. Replace station.png in your /icons directory with the new file attached.
2.If you use the Stickers plugin, navigate to /plugins/stickers and replace station.png with the same file attached. Also replace stationBlack.png with the new file attached.
3. Unzip the attached meteotemplate.zip file, navigate to /css/font and replace the two files and fonts folder (which contains four more files) with the files and folder you unzipped.
4. If you want to see the Tempest icon in the Weather Station tab in your menu, follow the instructions here, and enter mticon-tempest as the Tab icon in the WEATHER STATION menu settings.

Re: New WeatherFlow Tempest icon
Hi,
I understand it is a bit difficult to change the MT font, but there was a very good reason for migrating standard png files to svg system. Glad you solved it.
