OK. Auto install works fine. Haven’t had any updates to test since upgrading.

No, my provider does not allow me to do a http include to download the zip file. If I apply the workaround I got from my provider I get a zip file of 13Kb which is not complete and cannot be unzipped without an error.
I have this issue also at various blocks and plugins. Most of of the time the workaround is ok, part of the fact that I need to apply those changes everytime there is an update.

Personally I would regret if this wonderful feature would disappear. I guess we can't have both options: the traditional way of downloading and unpacking and copying by hand or the automatic way. The difference would be an option in the main config.

Apologies but unable to test until next Saturday as currently remote from and without access to my own Raspberry Pi hosted site.

Nothing to update, but block setup page has a button; the plug-in set-up page does not.

I tried it and worked. But I prefer to download to computer and then FTP as I like to have a copy on my computer.

No - now Yes. Godaddy hosting. Mine wasn't working - it was giving me a 500 Internal Server Error. My site is running PHP version 7.1. It was downloading the ZIP file fine but wasn't extracting it. I've since found that in cPanel I can turn on the ZIP file functionality in PHP. But now working perfectly.

When I upgraded to 16.0 I was prompted to update the block "Current", which didn't seem to update using Google Chrome, but the auto update did work fine using Internet Explorer 11.
I don't have any other blocks or plugins that need updating though so I can't test any further at the moment.

Initially I had a problem where the update window opened as just a white window and nothing updated. I checked the PHP extensions in CPanel (under the Select PHP Version section). I am using PHP7.1 and the rar & zip extensions are not enabled by default, but it was just a quick click to enable them.
I have also tried using http and https protocols on my site and they both work for updates on both blocks and plugins, along with updates using Chrome and Firefox in both Windows and Linux (Ubuntu Budgie 17.10).
When I initially tried the updates (immediately after upgrading to V16) I did have a problem doing the plugin updates after the block ones. This turned out to be a Chrome problem - for some reason it had decided it didn't want to load anything on my site. Just closing Chrome and reopening it worked in this instance though.
