Hello from Africa

Post by ZSN » Thu Dec 10, 2020 8:15 am

I live in Zimbabwe and recently had an motorbike accident, between pain and painkillers I am not able to achieve much - so thought I'd try and do something worthwhile while i wait for things to mend.

I decided I would like to set up a number of weather sites around the country to assist my fellow aviators in determining whether they should go out and fly or just stay at home. We have had a number of accidents and close calls over the years and I believe having the weather information easily accessible, in the absence of a formal weather service, would make a difference and hopefully save a life or two.

So far I have 3 sites
https://zaopa.org/met/fvcp
https://zaopa.org/met/fvkk
https://zaopa.org/met/hrenorth - need to sort out a weather cam - maybe i get one for christmas :-)

And at present two of them for some strange reason do not give wind and rain but hope to get this sorted.

Thank you to Jachym for an awesome template.
