More data Ecowitt Offline

Post by steph » Wed Nov 06, 2024 5:02 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for help.

I have had my station working perfectly for several years now with my Ecowitt GW1100 server. Offline station.

Yesterday I noticed that the GW1100 no longer sends data to Template, I thought at first that the GW1100 had a bug.

Except that I sent the data to another station and it works perfectly.

So my question is: do you know where this could come from?

I want to clarify that I have not manipulated anything.

As a precaution I bought a new server that I receive tomorrow the GW1200 but I think that it will not change anything given the GW1100 sends to the other site that I tried.

Forgive the automatic translation if there are mistakes.

Thank you all for your help.

Ciao,

grazie a te e a tutti.

Hi Steph,

if you did not changed anything, it must be something in system.
Any automatic updates triggered from OS?
Any out-of-space issues in filesystem?
Database can be accessed?
Can you add manually values into database?
How does the Ecowitt send data, writing into a file at the host?

I am not familiar with Ecowitt, just pointing out some checks to do.

Álvaro PoggianI

I thank you for your feedback, for my part it is the Ecowitt plugin that takes the data from the GW1100.
Meteotemplate is also monitored by CumulusMX.

As soon as I receive the GW1200, I try that, but I don't believe it. I spoke with other people who have exactly the same problem as me within a few hours.

No more data either. It seems that it is the script that has become obsolete, because we use the same Ecowitt plugin on Template.

We are trying to find a solution but I am not a specialist either so it is very complicated.

No updates made, the space is more than enough ;)
My database is easily accessible since I add my data manually every day.
And I use the Ecowitt plugin which comes from this forum precisely.

As I suspected, the new server is absolutely useless, it's really a problem with the plugins I think.

Hello,

I am on version 7.4 php, is that what would be the problem?

My guess: no.
PHP 7.4 is outdated, but all MT scripts are originally created with v7.x
An update to v8.x causes issues at some pages, but currently a lot of the template is running with 8.x (up to 8.3.10).

As far as I could find in the plugin pages a .csv file is created from plugin. Is this file existing and updated at your server?

@Alvaro:
You should remove your credentials in the archive you posted ;) .

Hello again,

so I don't know why but everything is back on its own...

I don't know where it could come from, is it Ecowitt, so in that case good question?

But the site is operational again for how long...

No but really I'm shocked
For 3 days, nothing works anymore and even on another template site.
And now everything is operational again.
I don't understand anything
