ALLDATA Table Corrupt?

Post by cdarney3 » Fri Oct 12, 2018 1:54 am

I went to my site today (darney.org) and found it was not displaying any current or historical data. I know it was a few days ago but is not now. I went to my hosting site's servers and ran a DB check which returned:

[darney5_Parkesburg_Weather.alldata] Corrupt
[darney5_Parkesburg_Weather.climateFilter] OK

Is there any way to recover this without recreating a new DB and importing 10+ years of Weather Underground data back into it?

hello, I'll join the question. Also, in the database, the alldata table was corrupted, it was written "just in use," and the alldata file "# 130 - Incorrect file format" alldata ". I'm hosted on wedos.net, of course I did not have a backup :) for a fee of 600Kč sent a deposit. There were dates in 3 years. I imported the database and it was done until today, ie about 28 hours and the damaged alldata table. How can it be? Is it wedos.net? For 3 years everything was OK, I did not change anything.

It's interesting that you should mention that the table was "in use". My host provider also said about the table "in use" as well but did not provide that level of detail. I'm not sure what has happened. I did implement some plugins the other night. I know if was working a day or so before that but not after that.

I can see that, from my Meteobridge, that data is being passed to Meteotemplate. I see also that the "Weather.climatefilter" is OK. Is it possible that data can be recovered from that table or from whatever table the meteobridge data is passed to?

Hi, i have the same problem,

Since i renewed my subscription plan at my provider (bplaced.net) last night , i experience basically the same problem.
Historical data is being shown, but i don't get any more updates since then. I did not make any changes to my settings and weather display console also shows "Meteotemplate data send ok" but nothing is being updated neither the current data nor the database.

Edit (21:00): I noticed another strange thing. When i manually copy the Meteotemplate data feed from weather display console window into my browser bar and press enter, the database gets updated once i refresh the page, but nothing happens automatically anymore. It's really confusing.. it has worked for several years and now all of a sudden it doesn't.

I still don't know how/why the ALLDATA table was corrupted. I had the database re-created and the latest version of Meteotemplate installed. I've now re-imported 11 years of Weather Underground data and re-created my weather page.

I would like to have understood why it happened but it really wasn't critical enough to spend the time trying to figure it out.

This time I'm BACKING UP ALL DATA and will be backing up data on a regular basis.

Is there any type of "auto" backup for data and settings? Otherwise I'll just set a scheduled notification to do this.

I am not aware of an Auto Backup script for AllData and am sure this is a question for the next version of MeteoTemplate 18.0 as a simple php script. Please go there and drop a suggestion.
