riset Block

Post by BlueBear » Mon Jun 03, 2019 3:07 pm

OK I'm pulling out what little hair I've got trying to get this block running again.

If you look on my page http://www.sanfordweather.com on the left just below the digital clock block and above the Station Status Screen block you will see a blank block. That is where the riset block is supposed to be.

I've reinstalled the block dozens of times, checked other sites to see if the block is working, looked with some of the Web Developer tools in Firefox, and used other browsers all to no avail!

It was working a few months back, I did change hosting packages but the hosting company tells me nothing should have changed in the php setup. Using php 7.3 currently, did try 7.1 but no change.

I'm open to suggestions as to what to try/do next!

Bill

G'day, Bill,

Back to basics.

The riset block works on my site (click on the banner below and it's the bottom of the right-hand column.)

My riset block setup is shown below. The desktop home page (not shown) shows just riset on its own line, with no spaces or other characters.

Thanks for the reply but Yes I've tried all combinations of setting with no effect!

My apologies, Bill, for the extended delay in my reply.

It looks like you don't have it sorted out at this point in time. I also noticed that your "map current conditions", whilst shown, has no data.

Going back the original problem, have you changed, accidentally or otherwise, your lat-long co-ordinates in the main set up (Station Location)? Yours should be, or very close to, 49.6800° N, 97.4461° W. Also check the field just below to ensure you have the correct time zone entered. These are only suggestions, Bill.

Is there a reason why you don't show the atmospheric pressure in your gauges?

Cheers,
John

I had the same problem.
The solution in my case was to enable the calendar extension in PHP.

Rechecked my coordinates and time zone and all are correct!

No reason for not showing pressure, guess I just missed it, it's there now!

That was it, contacted my hosting company and had them enable the calendar extension and now the block is working!
