Wind Block

I have noticed that the tip of the direction arrow in the wind block appears to be 180 degrees out of sync with the actual direction being reported by the station sensor. For example, when the actual wind direction is NW the tip of the arrow points SE in my block. I wonder if anyone else has noticed that or maybe that is the way it was designed to be.

w7las,

I cannot comment particularly on your situation. However, some sites show (point) from where the wind is coming, like a weather vane, and others to where it is going. Perhaps it is such in this case?

Regards,
John

I think this is what you meant Jachym. If you look at the Wind data, the tip of the arrow points opposite from the direction given. As far as I can tell it is that way in all wind depictions in the template.

Wind is given as from where it is blowing. The arrow shows the direction where it blows, opposite would be confusing
