Hi
I have just installed Meteotemplate and can't get Steelseries gauges to work !
I'm using
Meteotemplate 17.0
SteelSeries Gauges plugin 4.0
For upload of data I use Meteobridge Pro
My weatherstation is WeatherFlow Air + Sky
Link to SteelSeries Gauges :
http://www.tistrup.nu/template/plugins/steelSeries
Anyone know what i'm missing ?

It says there is a parser syntax error - Unexpected token } in JSON at postiion 1391
So it has an error with importing the data. Totally clueless how to fix but that is the message.
Perhaps a smart person can help!! lol

It's working fine for me. I assume, Moonglider, that you've solved the problem. Well done.

Hi Moonglider,
I went to your site using Opera, I've also just checked it in Chrome, Internet Explorer and Edge and it works fine on all of those browsers.

Certainly agree, but I promise it was not!! lol Good fix!
That's the kind I like - the do nothing and it fixes itself.

I checked myself using I.E., firefox and Chrome and it works fine in all 3. I have been having issues with steel gauges off and on the past 6 months or so and most of it evolves around ssl certificates. The free ssl certs are problematic in that they are not directly assigned to your site. Another issue I was having was trying to cache my site to about 40 different servers around the globe to see it improved load times and it did not as I did not realize some servers keep your old data in cache for up to 2 hours so that pretty much benifited no one. Had I not paid for a 2 year certificate I would drop the ssl.
Another thing to concider is when you start a site with an ssl it could take 24-48 hours for the certificated to be assigned to your site.
Curious... has anyone had any issues with the free "Lets encrypt" certificates. I's not heard any complaints about that free service.

This seems to be a common error when using SSL.
It seems to work itself out after a day or two.
I personally don't understand the need to get an SSL cert for this template as you wont get a padlock unless you jump through major hoops. Just my own opinion as there is no personal information stored or requested.
Of course need and desire are 2 different things, so of course if you want a certificate, you just need to be prepared for some issues, follow Jachym's instructions posted on other posts and be prepared to wait a few days for things to settle down.
You still won't get a secure padlock unless you abandon ALL the unsecure content.
Let's see if it fixes itself in a few days.

So...still not working.
First I would change some settings so the setting file would get refreshed.
If that does not work, I would remove the plugin and reinstall it.
Don't forget to create new settings.
Other some https renaming issue, I can't think of anything thing else. Your site is updating so its not an api issue.

I have the settings created and the SSL cert is issued every 90 days automatically and has not had any issues thus far on anything else on my web server. I use the cert because it is free from Comodo via Let's Encrypt.

I have re-installed the plugin and removed the cert from the sub domain with no change. Any other ideas?

Seems that there is something else going on because you page is messed up.
Perhaps Jachym or someone more technical has something to add.
Andy!! You have a lot of experience with this. Any ideas?

Hi Tom!!! Just saw this.
I was unable to bring up
https://wx.gatewayy.net/plugins/steelSeries/
But was able to
http://wx.gatewayy.net/indexDesktop.php and a home refresh
I do not see any problems without the https:// used. Loads fine in http://
Using Firefox, I.E., and chrome all work.
The problem with the ssl cert is that it is not issued to your site but a generic issued to your host. Drop the (https://) in favor of just (http://) should fix it. Only use ssl certificates if you buy them for your domain name. If you do a little research, some free ssl certs will work but I do not remember which. A simple google search should help.
Once again
http://wx.gatewayy.net/plugins/steelSeries/
Works fine.
Andy
P.S. Almost forgot... If you have subdomains change them also to http://
Nice site you have Gatewayy
P.S.S. As Tom said... If you do buy your own SSL Cert which typically run around 20 bucks US it takes 24-48 hours for it to register to your site.

SO the gauges are loading for you? I still do not see the gauges loading even when I explicitly go to the non ssl version of plugin page.

The normal gauges are first and the SS gauges are second for comparison.

Ok Sorry I just noticed what you are talking about. Do you have SSGauges block and plugin both set up?
