1and1 host

This post is for users that utilize 1and1 web hosting.

Recently I started having issues with my site where some blocks and plugins that used the main update database did not work correctly. 1and1 is in a transition phase where they are changing names to 1&1IONOS and db and ftp address locations also. The old paths are not supposed to be changed or updated unless you renew there contracts (which I did not) but some customers (in a maintenance update) about a week ago had folders and files with corrupted permissions which of course caused issues. Some Database files where moved to new servers at: dbNAME.hosting-data.io
from: dbNAME.db.1and1.com

If you've had a problem, the only way to fix this is call there customer service number to resolve this. I hope you all have been keeping backups.

Andy,

I know you are coming up for renewal as well.

see viewtopic.php?f=52&t=1597&p=7719#p7719

though if I know you you have already seen it.

Database is domain hosted, not group hosted.

Hi again Tom.

Just letting you know your site is really quick. Just pops up in your face quick. Checking mine on 1and1 and paying a premium on speed it's not close.

I called host your new host and they did not offer me the $84.50 for 3 years. Am guessing you got in at just the right promotion. Anyway... I'll be moving my site there on the 28th or 29th to give the new dns a few days to catch up. I do like the fact that one of there data centers are in Dallas which should quicken it for me at least. See ya and talk later.
