Hi All,

My name is Ian, and I live in Auckland, New Zealand - originally from Guernsey, in the Channnel Islands. I work in IT Healthcare, and have been running a personal weather station for a few years now.

Started with Brian Hamilton's Weather Display, which is still going strong - https://wsx.centratus.com/wd/wsx.htm - and have been through a few WS-1001's since I started. I added in WeeWX a few months back - https://wwx.centratus.com/weewx/ - and I have been meaning to implement Jachym's template for a long while now and finally got a couple of days over the holiday break to take a serious look - very impressed so far, the template is operational, but will be subject to many tweaks and adjustments over the next few days and weeks as I familiarise myself with what it can do, new toys etc :) - https://wmx.centratus.com/meteo/indexDesktop.php

I am located in Ellerslie, right in the middle of suburban Auckland - if you don't like the weather here, wait 5 minutes. ;)

Hello, Ian,

It's nice to see another Kiwi on the site. I too am an immigrant, but from the N.W. of England, - a village near Bolton - but that was a few years over six decades ago . Of course my station is a few kilometres N.W. of yours. :)

If you are anything like me then you will find much enjoyment in fiddling with your layout and, if such be your bent, meddling with files as may be useful.

Regards,
John

Hi John,

Much meddling of files already happening lol! Many thanks for the welcome (indeed thanks to everyone else too!) - really enjoy this hobby and IOT in general. :)
