Discrepancy betweeen MT average wind an WD average Wind

Hi
I can see that this topic have been discussed before: viewtopic.php?t=1264 but that seems to have been solved, by changing some settings in WD. I believe I have done those settings, that's why I start a new topic, Hope that's okay. :)

There is a discrepancy between the 10 min average wind speed in MT vs. WD as shown in the attached image. If I'm right MT does it's own average calculation, which could lead to some differences. But some times there can be a 20 - 30% difference. Isn't that to much?

I'm not certain if I'm causing the discrepancy, by missing out some settings in WD (I'm new to WD), or if it's related to MT or WD.

By the way, my upload rate to MT is 3 sec.

Best regards.

Hello, Trainman,

I'm not sure as to whether or not this will help, but in Weather Display:
Have you set the average wind speed time in the Setup>Advanced/Misc Settings <TAB>Rain/Wind/Barometer/Lightning ... area with the box for "Use 10 minute average for average windspeed" as ticked?

John

Hi John
Thanks for your reply.
Actually I have set those settings, it's a great mystery. :?
I have used Cumulus 1.9.4 for several years, but it is no longer supported. Since I decided to move my web site to meteotemplate, thought it would be a perfect time to switch to WD.
It seems WD and I are not good friends, for several reasons. I think I will give Cumulus MX a go.

Thanks again.
