Today is equinox
is this value correct?

Yes, this is correct, the equinox is at one particular time of the day, I cant remember what the block uses, either midnight or 12:00, and at that time it is already different

Would it be possible to make Equinox realtime, just like the sunplot? Or at least to see from when on the +8 min xx sec we shall count on?

The block is based on days, it doesnt show real time info, that would be very complicated to calculate and it is not 100% accurate anyway, all these PHP scripts have several minutes inaccuracy, which is one of the reasons I avoided using exact times. It is due to the fact that the number of equations is huge and there is lot of rounding going on.

Wondering why two days after "equinox" my riset block still shows a day length longer than the night's I found out that "equinox" means the sun's crossing of the equator (actually Sep 22 20:02 UTC) and not the equal length of day and night which will be the case only between Sep 25 and 30 - depending on the latitude of your location!
