when going to my website auestadhome.com it ask me for user and password.
And cron jobs stop working course it need user and password.

I have no idea what user and password to use.
is my webpage been hacked or is it anyone who knows what is going on ????

I think you should make a backup copy of the site ( from the file manager of 'cpanel', I mean from the control panel that your provider gives you ) and compare with a previous copy ( or the original version )

I went trough the files on the website and found two files that I did not put there
the files are htaccess and htpasswd.
Deleted them and it seem to do the trick.

what are these files for and who put them there ??
Anyone knows ??

The htaccess and htpasswd are the (http) server way to create protected folders/areas in your site. You should have an option in the 'cpanel' to password protect folders. Maybe you accidentally ( or someone else less accidentally ;-) ...
