Hi
We just had a night where the degrees did not go below 22 C.
On the page
http://regnskvett.com/meteotemplate/pag ... ndices.php this day does not show under tropical night.
Thought we were going to register our first tropical night.
What are the criteria for this?

The page consider 'tropical night' a 24h interval ( from midnight to midnight ) with a minimum temperature >= 20°C.
In this way the calculation is done directly by database server.

Hi!
we had a temperature drop at 3pm, so that's the reason. It should have been from 6am to 6pm according to the book, or am I wrong?

You could try this mod. Uses the same database query used by the 'Nighttime statistics'.
Not super tested, but it should work ( as it is a minimal mod )
On line 204-205 you can set the starting and ending time for the night definition ( now set to 18 and 6 )
Unzip the file in the directory pages/station ( make a backup of the original file climateIndices.php )
Before running the new script remember to delete the cache file pages/station/climateCache.php ( it will be recreated )

Hi.
I got tropical night there, we actually got three nights since we started in 2009, nice.
This message appears at the top of the page.
error=
temporaryYear=2011 temporaryMonth=6 20.2
temporaryYear=2019 temporaryMonth=7 20.4
temporaryYear=2022 temporaryMonth=7 22.2
Those are the days that are tropical nights.

Hi
Forget the error in the previous message, it disappeared.
I changed on summer days from 25 to 20 degrees.
Here in the north, it is 20 degrees which is a summer day.
Thanks for the help.

Sorry my mistake, forgot to remove 2 debug prints ( will reappear when cache file is deleted )
P,S.
Yes these are 'local settings', a configuration file/option could be added

Hi.
yep! no error after deleting climateCache.
Found out that it should be from 20.00 to 08.00 here with us, so I changed it to that. Then I got the one day that I thought I had.
One tropical night for 13 years is not bad
