Hi,
as you know, many of us MT users, due to the cookie policy law, have to integrate their websites with the cookie banner.
There is any possibility to insert the cookie banner script in the intallation setup (or somewhere else) to avoid, every template update, to reinsert this script manually?

thanks in advcance for any comments
Norbert

I personally think the Cookie legislation here in EU is very stupid - the pages only inform you they already saved something, so it is useless, there is nothing you can do about it and it only is very annoying to always have to click "I agree".

Nevertheless, this is not why I did not include it in MT. The reason I did not is because MT only saves a cookie when a user wants to use a different color scheme, or makes some change in the setting. This is then saved as a cookie, however, such cookie, based on user choice and cookie which saves no personal information, does not need the notice, such cookies are allowed without a notice.

It is therefore only a redundant annoying thing in my opinion. Feel free to add it to your site if for some reason you think it should be there, but I will not be adding this to MT for all.

I couldn't agree more, it's a pain in the tits having to keep clicking on this dialogue boxes that come up simply to close them down - like you have much choice in the matter.

It is even worse than the "I agree" statement we all just click whenever we install something.... In that case you could theoretically say no and install nothing. In this case they are only telling you what they have already done.

When surfing the Internet, I use half my time in closing annoying windows that, as you say, inform me of what has just happened.

It is indeed stupid legislation that, incredibly, still persists
