rain check over midnight

Hi all,
If I have rain just before midnight and stopped before midnight,
the value is carried over to the next day, at 00:00 and counter is reset at 00:05.
causing my rainvalues to increase faulty.
The built in rain check (data editing) tool should fix this, but seems not be working anymore.
Any ideas?
Grtz

Yes, I know, it happens to me too.
I wasn't able to fix it ( I think it is due to some strange conditions but could not find the cause ).
Had recorded last few months data, should check to see if I can find the issue.

I think the issue has something to do with rain accumulation not having the right time,
i notices several times taht at midnight rollover the rain is 1 hour off.
maybe to do with UT and CET time?
I added some screenshots.
Since it rains a lot these days, I have this issue every day.

I checked my logs and my database,
I had the same problem for rain and lightning ( since my detector counts a lot of false positives I had the problem every day ).
Since I installed my api.php version 3.4 (30 September 2022 ) my problems are gone.
Now I'm on ver 3.6a and everything is still ok.
My sites are on meteotemplate 18.0 ( with some mods for php 8 compatibility ) and php 8.0-8.2.
Still not tested on meteotemplate 19.0 ( but it should be ok too ).
As you say the problem should be connected to some 'race condition' and different timestamps between server an weather station.
In my api scripts I added a logging option ( to be able to reconstruct what is going wrong ), is the $logGetPost near line 66.

Thank you very much Davideta. I installed your version 3.6a a few weeks ago and it finally rained two days ago and I was able to test that it works perfectly. For years I almost always had to manually delete the first rain record of the next day and with your version everything is now back to normal.

I have had an issue with rain carry over since at least 2019, and raised the issue with Jachym. He allowed that other users also have had the issue, and suspected timing issues with the API and the software sending the information. In my case, Weather Display. At the time, he did not have a solution.
His recommendation was to use Control Panel > Bulk DB Edit > Check and Fix Rain. This is easy enough, and I didn't have to run it very often.
I am not sure if it has worked under 19, but now if I do that, it never returns a completion, nor does it fix any carry over rain.
I have also tried to manually editing the database in control panel, which has also worked in the past. Now it does not change the entry when I edit rain total for the 00:00:00 entry, but it appears to, until I refresh the screen.
Now when I have rain carry over I need to log into my hosting interface, and edit the database entry with phpMyAdmin.
