Wanting to upgrade to Apache HTTP server 2.4? Please read..

Just an FYI.. I have the option of upgrading from Apache 2.2 to 2.4. Once I updated, every page gives me a 500 error.
Upon further investigation, .htaccess was to blame. I temporarily removed it and everything is working correctly
