Mobile App

I have been using Jachym's Meteotemplate Mobile 0.1 Strawberry Cheesecake experimental App for about 6 months and that has worked fine. However now the data displayed does not match the data icons.

The App draws the data from www.komokaweather.com/j-template/plugin ... ormat=json and this plugin displays data correctly.

However using that plugin path the App now has incorrect data in relation to the Apps' displayed icons.
0. The data starts with what appears to be my dewpoint above the icons where the date and time would appear.
1. for temp icon it displays my rel humidity
2. for humidity icon it displays my pressure
3. for pressure icon it displays what appears to be my indoor humidity
4. for wind icon it appears to display my sunshine today
5. for wind gust icon it displays 0
6. for precipitation icon it displays a date and time 2017-11-06 16:39
7. for feels like icon it displays 0
8. for dewpoint icon it displays date and time 2017-11-06T16:39:50-05:00

I then checked and found that the stationFeed plugin was updated to v2.0
I rolled back to the previous V1.1 and then the Apps data matches the displayed icons so that still works.
I know this is not an actively maintained App but thought I should ask in case something quite simple has changed between stationFeed v1.1 and v2.0.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul
glad to hear there's someone else using MT mobile !
I had the same problem; since Jachym stopped developping the MT App the only way to make it work again is to go back to stationFeed 1.1. (and change the text in stationFeedVersion.txt to "2.0" to avoid update messages).

Best regards, Martin

Hi guys,
its not like I stopped developing it - I never really started. It was just for myself to see what an Android App looks like. Ive never even seen it actually running on a phone :D

No offense intended toward Jachym, but I wanted something more than what was on the mobile page, so I installed the weather34 template by Brian Underdown almost exclusively for the phone page.

I have included some screenshots from my iPhone 7 for you guys to look at.

If anyone wants this, just ask because I have some experience working with this template. It is not so intuitive as MT and definitely not as flexible, but I think the mobile pages are pretty good.

Be sure and try it from your phone: http://www.tempestasvigilate.com/PWS/MB/index.php

If you happen to be on your desktop, you will get the desktop version from the same page.
Maps are under the menu. Translations are in the menu too.

Just so you know, wind history does not work without using a database, and I did not set one up as it is almost impossible if your hosting provider prenames the dB's like mine does (no flexibility as I said).

Would you mind telling me how you set this up? How did you arrange your hierarchy of folders? Was it complex? This is something I had wanted to do too...

The template does it for you. Pretty easy if you have Cumulus or Meteobridge. Even WU I think.

The template is not very flexible though. Can not select or arrange tiles. I learned how to change the maps on my own, so if you need some help I can do.

It is easier to install than MT and lighter, as long as you don't need a database. Then its pretty useless unless you can name your database a specific name (as selected by the template). If your hosting provider names even a little bit of your database, you are done for.

There was a good attempt at directions and an easy setup program that has a few flaws, but helps a great deal.

Still interested?

Edit: - I see you have Weather Display. Note on the website: This template is not compatible with Weather Display Software there is no support.

I will not comment on this,

All I will say is that if there is one person Ive met over the last 3 yrs who I would 100% recommend to avoid, then it is Brian Underdown and all his products. Make your own conclusion from this statement. An extremely arrogant person, who is absolutely not trustworthy, steals other people“s work and constantly needs attention like a small child. Insults other people, wastes other people“s time and then makes himself look like a scapegoat everywhere he goes. And I am definitely not talking just for myself, ask some other developers...

hmm. I'm glad I did not pay anything for it. I sent a couple of emails asking for help and got a brief response with something about decorating his house. But he did answer the question.

Only contact I have had. I do value your opinion and it sounds like its not a good one.

I will take the pictures off.

Edit-Seems I can't do that, so you can if you would not mind.
