Hi All,

Storm Eleanor has been passing quite near to my region so I woke up early this morning and went out to watch the impact of low pressure, high winds, and high spring tides on the west coast of Guernsey.

The same area of coastline normally looks like this:

Kind regards,

Very impressive picture, indeed.
We had storm "Burghild" today which brought a new wind gust record to our place : 118.1 kmh (73.3 mph) (meteo.dubler.com).

Hi Steve,

Impressive pictures, we had the worst of this storm last night. At 23:15 last night the rain was very, very heavy along with strong winds.

My Cumulus station was setup to reject Max Rain Rate of 100mm/hr as I thought this would be the right amount to set as a spike. Then minutes after 23:15 Cumulus told me it had rejected three readings just over 100mm/hr - but they weren't spikes, they was genuine readings. (I've now raised it to 150mm/hr)

It's calmed down here now.
