Hi. I have it all set up and on my control panel screen where I would register and configure. Oddly nothing I click on reacts. So their is a link but the page just sits there. Same when I try to register and hit submit. It is strange.
They are images but they do not link to anything. They only have image urls.
I tried an old index.php file and the links worked so I think it has to do with my /admin/index.php file but have no clue where to start.

Check the file permissions on your hosting platform. Read, write, execute and the like.

Same issue. I ended up needing to rewrite the index.php to have href for it to work. The original file was 777/ R,W,E for all areas.
