Meteotemplate Page of the Month - September 2017
Hi guys,
inspired by the WX forum I thought it might be cool to have a vote for the best MT page of the month.
Every month I will create a similar thread. First week you can write your nominees below. Next week I will take the nominees and make another thread with a poll where you will be able to vote.
Then after another week the winner will be announced here and I can also create a special page at meteotemplate.com for the winners.

Re: Meteotemplate Page of the Month - September 2017
Would this be right then?
The obvious way to look at most MT sites would be to go 'Quick Links' top left, select 'Members' then look at each members listed site and then make your own shortlist. Then add your nominee to this thread?
If this is correct members will have to make sure their profile is up to date.

Re: Meteotemplate Page of the Month - September 2017
So some of us want lots of data at our finger tips and others just a few important blocks. So I've looked through the member list at everyone's site and marked them one to five, (five being the best). So my vote for best MT site is for Luc, it didn't have too many blocks, it doesn't look cluttered and a nice colour scheme.

Re: Meteotemplate Page of the Month - September 2017
Thanks Johnny for your nomination. I do have many blocks installed but the most of them are 'hidden' in menu blocks. In this setup I have the best of two worlds: a not too crowded home page which loads rather fast and also many less important blocks available via the menu blocks.
Also I like the light theme more than the default dark theme.
Cheers, luc

Hi guys
This is also my choice (http://www.lucdesign.nl/), the page is very clear and very simple to read. The use of menu-blocks makes all data and statistics easy to find.
Just a little thing to improve, if I can Say, tries to add one or two blocks so that columns right and left have the same height

Re: Meteotemplate Page of the Month - September 2017
Hi Gilles,
Thank you for the nomination. I also prefer to have three columns with the same height.
For the blocks Glossary and trivia on the top right I have no control. These blocks have random content (and thus 'random' height).
The block on top left contain my photo gallery. i could give all photos the same height (and width), but that would do some pictures no good and I decided not to do so.
May be there is a solution for this by using blocks which are two or three columns wide somewhere in the middle, but so far I could not think of a solution I liked better.

Hi friends,
sorry but I do not clearly understand how voting is taking place and who can vote. Where we can find the ranking?
thanks in advance for any clarification
ciao
Norbert

Hi Norbert,
voting will be available once we have the nominees. First people suggest pages and I will then take all the suggestions and create the poll for voting.

Hi Norbert, I went to the 'Quick Links' drop down top left and Chose 'Members' then used each members link to view their home page.

Re: Meteotemplate Page of the Month - September 2017
Sadly you are right and I didnt notice because I have AdBlock installed.
I asked this person to remove them previously... well there we go....
Obviously Im taking back my decision and this page clearly violates the terms of Meteotemplate.

This is my selection: http://www.watfordweather.uk/indexDesktop.php
I like the 'less is more' concept very much.

Re: Meteotemplate Page of the Month - September 2017
OK so after some further searching I will go for this one instead:
http://www.meteocaldas.com/mtp/
I should say that in general, in terms of the design, I dont quite like the "light" theme, I dont like gradients, 3D effects, shadows etc. and I prefer darker colors in general.
Though I did of course look at the content as well
