warnings us regional wont display

All I can ever get is No Current Advisories watches or warnings ver 7.0
The Cache folder and file does create, I have checked permissions, Im currently useing FLC071 but have switched to a zone code that has Advisories and still nothing goes in the cache file

I have copyed another users Advisorie data to the warningsUSRegions.txt file removeing the double brackets [ ] and that advisery will display in Meteoplate
I have checked the path to the xml data "https://alerts.weather.gov/cap/wwaatmge ... FLC071&y=0" and the xml is pulled up
I am showing no errors in the php log
anyone have any idea why the data does not write to the warningsUSRegions.txt file

Wish I has some suggestions. My use of this block works as expected. Certainly sounds like a permission issue. If your provider has detailed logs for your site access, do those pick up anything unusual when this block runs?

I have my own server banks so i have access to all the logs
I get no errors in php or iis logs
I am able to get the NWS files to run in a blank block
NwsAlerts works a little different and even though it was written for Saratoga it will run stand alone
I still have a little work to do on it but NWSALERTS is working

Wait, you managed to get the Saratoga NWS Alerts working in Meteotemplate? I've been wanting to do that for a long time as the warningsUSRegions blocks does not handle multiple zones well and shows duplicate warning messages. The NWSAlerts block from Saratoga has a array that eliminates this duplicate entry option. I would certainly be interested in how you did this as from my perspective this would be the better way to go.

Never updated my signature url to https after i secured all my sites

And yes if you look at my site now there is a warning I am still working on the details page but it will load I am using nwsalerts and calling it from a blank block there is some changes needed in the nwsconfig file needed
It all runs from the blank block folder which i renamed

That is awesome using the Saratoga NWSAlert code. So would you be willing to share? I can offer up my fixes for the USRADAR (viewtopic.php?f=56&t=1984) and the other updates I did for that block to show the newer satellite images as a trade. You can see them on my site to see what I did.

I have the summary link reactivated but it adds to the link in summary so you can get to the summary but but in the summary those links get broken
I would also rather have them open in a new page but have not got that yet

I did take the code you posted for the Saratoga National Weather Service Alerts and made some modification to better integrate it into Meteotemplate. The updated block can be downloaded by going to https://www.cecilweather.com/weather/ce ... s_v1.1.zip and installed just like any other Meteotemplete block.

To make this work, the nws-alerts-config.php file needs to be directly edited. I did the following updates in this file to make this work well within Meteotemplate:

• $myZC - with the wanted zones by getting codes from alerts.weather.gov

• $ourTZ - with the current time zone

• $cacheFileDir - directory with the alerts cache is stored.

• $icons_folder - directory for the icons are stored

• $blockpath - this is something customized for Meteotemplete. This is the path where this block resides on your website.

• $alertURL - path to where the nws-details.php file is located

• $summaryURL - path to where the nws-summary.php file is located

The rest of the variables should also be checked and adjusted as needed. Particularly if you are going to retrieve more than a couple zones then you should set the $noCron to FALSE and setup a CRON job. If anyone is reading this wondering how all this works, please check out the README file included in the zip as it contains all of the details from Saratoga-weather.org who get all of the credit for developing this script. I also left my settings in the nws-alerts-config.php file to be used as a guide. Hope this helps!

Thanks alot that works like I was eventually going to make it go, I am going to add a link to the log file also
Also the Radar block is fixed thanks to your little fix

Anyone else should also edit the NWSBlock.php, for your own discription at line 32 after "Advisories, Watches and Warnings"

Glad the updates are useful and thanks for adding the reminder about updating the NWSBlock.php as I forgot to mention that.

I am waiting for the NWS to finish their radar upgrades before doing more work with the US Radar Block as there are some comments that some of the missing radar links might be coming back online as some point. Hopefully something later this month.

Sorry not much time to give a detailed explanation but if you look at the section for 'radarUSNationSelector" you will see all of the link options. Some of this no longer work so adjust as you want. I'll try to give more details later this week. One thing to be aware of with this block is these links are repeated four times (I think it is four) in the code so make sure any updates you do is done for each display option. Not sure why it was setup that way.

You'll need to explore but look at https://cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.gov//GOES16/ABI/SECTOR/ and hunt around. It is not easy! I think the one you need is this: https://cdn.star.nesdis.noaa.gov//GOES1 ... 00x600.gif

Other things can be found in https://www.nesdis.noaa.gov/content/goe ... ite-images but finding the 'current version' is a challenge.
