Plugin Sea temperature
Yesterday I've installed de sea temperature plugin. I followed the setup but I only see the text and temperature itself but no graph. What's wrong?

Your data file is empty
{"city":"Vlissingen","avg":[],"max":[],"min":[]}

Re: Plugin Sea temperature
Try deleting the cache folder. If it then starts working it was a temporary issue. If not, it means your server is unable to load data from the data source

Re: Plugin Sea temperature
I've deleted the cache but no result. In de cache directory are 2 files: data.txt en current.txt. In the current.txt file you can read the current temperature and in de data.txt file is only the cityname filled in, the average, min max fields are empty.
{"city":"Vlissingen","avg":[],"max":[],"min":[]}
So, why are several fields empty and some not?

Re: Plugin Sea temperature
I think your server has general problems loading data from external sources, because you have the same problem with other blocks/plugins, do you use some free webhosting?

Re: Plugin Sea temperature
Copying the file to cache folder is useless because it will be automatically deleted once the cache expires (12h).

Re: Plugin Sea temperature
Yes, but the plugin will not work correctly, it needs the current.txt as well

Jachym
current.txt works fine. (is updated regularly)
data.txt is not updated (and i want this)
I have input the data only once in data.txt manually, i have no other choice
But the plugin works fine.

Data.txt is loaded once for the location specified (so if you use different location then he cannot use it), these are records which do not change. Current data is cached for 12 h.

Re: Plugin Sea temperature
Hi
I just tried this plugin and got the same current.txt with a value in and data.txt with just the site in no values for the site I had chosen Blackpool as nearest to my location taken from seatemperature site
So based on the data.zip posted earlier and using the data shown on the January page for Blackpool I was able to get the data required to fill in a data file and put it in the cache and that works.
I know my host has some limitations that may stop the data.txt from being populated with data, but when I tried it on my local test server it also failed to get data in the data.txt.
not sure what the full url is for getting this data.
Harold
