Re: Data import woes
Right! Success! I have imported my old backed-up MT database. I needed to enclose the date format in the import.php page in double quotes (") - this is what they were enclosed in in the alldata.csv file. I am now going to try to turn the WeatherCat exported data file dates into the same using f...

Re: Data import woes
Thanks - that is interesting as I tried it again without header row and it hung. When I did it with, trying all different combinations of the possible variablesI still kept getting the same error codes. I might try and re-import my old MT data which doesn't go as far back as my WeatherCat data and s...

Data import woes
Hi all (again - sorry! I'm a teacher on half-term at the moment; I'll be back to work and leaving you in peace next week!) I am having issues importing data from an edited WeatherCat Export csv into MT. I think I've done everything correctly but I'm getting date & pressure issues. If anyone can ...

Home icon
Hi!
Having got my database reworking today, my home icon at the top left of my page has now become a straight line face rather than a house.
Have I done this?
Does anyone know how to get it back?
Sorry for another probably daft question,
Rich

Re: New web hosting transfer issues
So, like a complete numpty I'd deleted a folder above my public html folder in my webspace which was making the template refuse me admin control. I'm now back (just need to import my old MT database then hopefully my Weathercat one)

Re: New web hosting transfer issues
Tried other settings, but still not playing ball. I wonder if I needed to install the template again from scratch - but this would be a shame as I have customised so much and would need to re-enter so much... I have raised a support ticket with the hosting company and will see what they say. Have an...

Re: New web hosting transfer issues
My web hosting control panel file permission management page offered to scan files and make recommendations. It found 6 files that it felt should be 600 rather than 644. It didn't give me any option to change to anything other this! But I've done it and it hasn't made a difference. I might try and c...

New web hosting transfer issues
Hi all, My previous (cheap but paid for) web hosting started not to accept the numerous demands WeatherCat, Awekas & Meteotemplate put it under, so I have upgraded to a still cheap but newer hosting package. There was no direct upgrade path, so I backed up my Meteotemplate database, and download...

Re: New User, Rochester UK
I've gone live!
Interestingly the Info | Weather Station page of the mobile site picks up on the info I typed in the admin section (it obviously doesn't use the the myStation plugin). So it has to be a problem with the Desktop part of the site only.

Re: New User, Rochester UK
Hi! I'm now happy (if not delighted!) by the look of my template homepage(s!) and I am almost ready to stop WeatherCat posting its own simple website and replace the index.html in my root direct to point to the template index.php I have two issue first though, that perhaps someone could help me with...

Re: New User, Rochester UK
Hi! Jachym - I had read that note re linux servers which I knew I was on so did create the template folder to avoid it. This was perfect as it allows me to get my meteotemplate pages looking exactly as I want before I upload the index file - leaving WeatherCat's simple website as the default seen wh...

Re: New User, Rochester UK
Thanks all!
As a primary school teacher I'm now on 1/2 term so am hoping to get a bit further developing my site (and correcting stupid mistakes I've made, like erasing files from the server)this week.
Cheers,
Rich

New User, Rochester UK
Hi!
New user using WeatherCat on a Mac with a WH 3080
My site is currently hiding at:
http://rochesterweather.org.uk/template ... esktop.php
until I iron out all the kinks.
Please can someone tell me why I'm getting some unloaded icon symbols on the home page?
Thanks in advance,
Yours,
Rich
