Errors with API for Weather Display

Post by cw3beck » Sun May 11, 2025 2:35 pm

Looking for some suggestions for troubleshooting an API error that just started happening within the past 24 hours. Up to this point, everything has been working flawlessly. Below is a quick summary of the problem:

1. I have attached a snipit of the Weather Display MeteoTemplate configuration. How it is/was set up while it still worked.

2. I am hosting my own website via Synology NAS. Has been working like a champ for the past 2 years.
3. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of Weather Display. Brian from the UK has also weighed in and, up to this point, is still scratching his head.
4. I have flushed the DNS on both computers -on the Weather Display side as well as the NAS side.
5. I have removed the contents of the /template/cache folders. The only files that ever populate are "latest_version_20250511" and a version "file".
6. I have several Cron jobs that execute every 5 minutes via "cron-jobs.org" without any errors.
7. When I click on the "API Viewer" link from the "Tools" menu, the Date Time Group continues to update as if the API is getting called from Weather Display but nothing is added to the Cache folder or into the SQL DB (see attached snipit

8. When I attempt to manually call the API via the web browser, I receive "No password provided".

Thanks in advance and thanks in advance for your Subject Matter expertise.

Quick update - as I was trolling thru other posts that described API problems, I read some that stated rolling back to a previous version of PHP resolved said problem. Even though I've been on PHP version 8.2 for awhile, rolling back to version 8.1 seems to have solved it for me as well. Synology must have had an update to their PHP 8.2 that killed the API. O well - honed my troubleshooting skills if nothing else.

Hi.
I have the same problem. WeatherDisplay stopet sending data to my webpage a few days ago.
But weatherdata is sendt to the netatmo webpage.
I have used the "Con Netatmo vers 2.5.
Strange that Brian doesnt know whats wrong.

I can only post picture of the program that starts automaticly when weather display starts.
I have tried different PHP versions but it didn´t help, either.

II did send Brian a note back once I identified the PHP version as the culprit. Just hadn't seen a follow-up note from him yet. Maybe if we both hit him up about this problem, he will dig into it a bit deeper.
