Maybe this would be something that could be done in feature and other people would like it also. The idea is to create multiple pages with different blocks. For example in the front page i would have common blocks what give general information. But in menu i would have link to for example astronomy page what would contain only astronomy blocks.
Reason for this is that i would like to keep the first main page simple. It would probably load faster and would be more usable with mobile devices.

this is something that was suggested to me by several people and in fact I thought about it myself even before anyone else did, but the idea of having "alternative homepages" is IMHO not ideal.
I considered the pros and cons of this and came to the conclusion it is better the way it is now. Every page should only have one homepage and this is exactly what I try to avoid - as soon as you allow people to duplicate pages with blocks, they are going to install dozens and dozens of them and as we all know less is sometimes more. This would only lead to confusion for your visitors. You have to remember that a visitor is not interested in hundreds of blocks. That is only likely to make them leave your webpage completely.
