I had the same question, and the curiousity even took me to analyse the script trying to find in what condition fa-fa-meh replaces the home icon, but... no success so far!
So... the great mystery remains

On some meteotemplate websites the home icon actually looks like a halloween pumpkin, for example http://www.meteoaalten.nl/template/indexDesktop.php (random site). Depends on the template version?
