Page save time

Post by BlueBear » Fri Nov 03, 2017 3:41 pm

Has anyone else noticed that since V16 came out, that when you make any changes to your home page it takes much longer from the time you hit Save until the OK message appears? I'm talking something like 45 seconds now instead of almost instantaneous previously.

Curious

Bill

It is not happening to me either.
After saving, the ok shows up almost instantaneously.

G'day, Bill,

If you are not using the latest version of PHP then change it. In my host's Cpanel it's under Software. For me it made a significant improvement on response times.

Cheers,
John

Something unique to my hosting company I guess, not a big deal just something I noticed. It always seems to work, just slow.
I'm using php 7.1.11 and most things seem faster just not this :?

Sorry for the delay, Bill.

I just got around to testing my own set-up. It works 'in the blink of an eye' (PHP 7.1.8). So I have no idea as to what is causing your delay. :x

Not seeing any issues here either.

I will throw out that a few weeks back I did see similar behavior both with saving and just pulling up pages. Tracked it down to an old site still running on my account using the Saratoga templates where the temperature script went crazy and was using all of the processor capacity my provider allowed me. It might be worth reviewing your logs from the provider just in case something crazy might be going on outside of the Meteotemplate world.

Good luck!
