Way to Turn Off the Shadow on Map Block Station Icon?

Is there a quick way to disable or turn off the shadow on the Station Icon in the Map block?

The dark gray shadow does not match the colors of the block setting very well. Or if I can choose the shadow color that would help as well.



I like the color style of the block, but the shadow on the station icon is obnoxious.

Hi,
I see your point, but you have to remember that there are many kinds of maps available, some of which are very light and some of which are very dark. So the icon has to have a shadow so that it is visible on all kinds of maps.

It is the similar issue as with people suggesting to have for example daily max temperature in the graph in red and minimum in blue. Again, would work for some, but what if people have red or blue design set... then it would not be clear. The template is highly customizable so things have to sometimes be made in such a way so that they always work, even though in some cases it would look better otherwise

I understand the concept. As a developer I'd be comfortable making some minor edits to customize my own site. I have recognized your comments in the code on what to NOT change, and fully respect that.

I could poke around and find what I need to do if it is in the template itself. Just looking for a shortcut, doing so many things at one time.

Being able to select the Pointer instead of a Station icon in the Block settings would work too. Just something to think about if you ever get bored. LOL

Yes, of course feel free to customize anything and I know that some people for example changed the colors in the graphs because they are using color combination which works nicely with it.

With regards to replacing the station icon with a marker.... yes I could do that, the problem in this case is that in fact it was originally like that, and I changed it because of user requests to make it a bit more intuitive that it is the station location

Don't even try, especially for those like me with too many ideas!

You have one the most robust and incredible templates of any kind I have stumbled upon in over 20 years of web development. And amazingly bug free, which is amazing in itself. I can think of a dozen or two applications I have invested much more time in with way fewer results, and eventually ditched due to glitches and issues. My impression right now is that this Clearwater Beach Weather site will be a hit.

Sometimes I have to laugh at myself when I seek the most difficult solutions when the simplest are in my face!

That said, I have to also say that I am finding the "weather station icons" to be a visual challenge, at least the Davis Pro 2 icons anyway.
