dynamicText problem with offline station

Post by adelrosso » Mon Dec 11, 2017 10:12 am

dynamicText block display temperature warning (and maybe other warnings) if meteo station is offline. Tested with netatmo and temp warning set to -1 °C.

I will add that I had the same issue last week when I went offline for a few days (hard drive died). Dynamic Text was reporting temperature and barometer warnings.

There should be G instead of W, I agree, but that does not explain the odd behavior with the other parameters. This block for some reason is malfunctioning right from its release. I went through the code several times, but it just all seems right, guess I will just remove it.

I was sure hoping that Dynamic Text worked like this.....

0-12;;;Good Morning! It's %timeOfDay (GMT-6) -- the current temperature is %T but it feels like %A. Precipitation today is %R. Sunrise today will be at %sunrise.
12-18;;;Good Afternoon! It's %timeOfDay (GMT-6) -- the current temperature is %T but it feels like %A. Precipitation today is %R. Sunset today will be at %sunset.
18-0;;;Good Evening! It's %timeOfDay (GMT-6) -- the current temperature is %T but it feels like %A. Precipitation today is %R.

Is this possible?

Thats how it was supposed to work, but even if the G is corrected it sometimes shows nonsense, no clue why, the code looks ok to me

It seems to work in some instances. Depending on where I put the code in the setup page.
Greeting works in the time of day section, Temp works in the Hi/Lo temp section and precip works in the Precip section.
