Hello, I am new here. I have managed to set up my database and install the theme, however i am to the point now of having to use an external cron job site, i've followed the guide, but since i use cumulus and need to use realtime.txt i have no idea where the script is located or what url i am suspposed to use?
I am using your wiki and using the free cron job site for 1 min update intervals, but like i said i am kind of lost now...where do i upload my realtime.txt file and what address am i supposed to put so the cron executes the realtime file for my site?
many thanks

Re: installation issue using cron
Hi Heikki,
1. The first thing you need to do is make a new folder in your weather template folders and call it say 'cumulus' (see image below)
2. Next go into Cumulus, click on 'Configuration' then click on 'Internet' then in the 'Directory' field change this to 'my-weatherstation-name.com/cumulus (see image below)
3. Setup your Cron job as per the image shown below obviously using your details (not mine).
4. I think I have that right, if I'm wrong hopefully someone else can chip in.

Re: installation issue using cron
I use Cumulus MX to run my Meteotemplate website too. I think Johnny has given good instructions on how to get things setup. One thing I might add is to check your updatesettings.php file to make certain that you have the full path to the folder for realtime.txt, including the http part, e.g., http://www.example.com/cumulus/realtime.txt On some of my websites just specifying the local path of the server is OK, but MT seems to want the full path as if you were coming in from outside. Just a thought. I actually do it slightly differently;I access realtime.txt from another website to which I load realtime.txt via FTP within Cumulus and then use con-job.org to access that site and pull over the realtime file .
