Unable to receive notification emails
For those of you running your own IIS server (I know this is not many), were you able to successfully setup the vSMTP server to be able to receive notification/warning emails from your meteotemplate site? I have searched as many tutorials as I can, but I cannot get it to work, thus I have never been able to receive emails from my site.

Re: Unable to receive notification emails
If memory serves me correctly, Jachym mentioned that this feature is not working correctly and will be updated in the next version.
Here it is: http://meteotemplate.com/forum/viewtopi ... 4928#p4928

Re: Unable to receive notification emails
Hi,
depends what exactly you mean. There are some blocks/plugins, which send emails and if your email server is not set up correctly you would not receive these (you can test this in the Main setup).
If you dont mean emails in general, but only the offline notifications then yes, there is a problem which will be fixed in v18, I know where the problem is so it will work in the next version.

Re: Unable to receive notification emails
Yeah, my issue is not related to the fix you are working on, Jachym. I know it has nothing to do with MT. It is related to my server, and the fact that the virtual SMTP server is not setup correctly. I never really cared about it til now, and now that I know I can't get it to work, it is annoying me. I know it is just some setting, and my setup is unique and probably not many others have their own server AND use Server 2012 AND use IIS AND use GoDaddy and thus their DNS setup (although most domain providers probably are alike and MX and CNAME records' setups aren't really tied to one provider).

I'm assuming that you have gone through the steps in the link below?

Yes, while not reading those specific articles, I have done those steps. There are actually more detailed steps to perform, including entering the FQDN, which should correspond to the DNS MX record.
