Hi from Koblenz/Germany

Post by WSKO_Karlchen » Tue Jan 29, 2019 5:07 pm

Hi,

just 2 weeks ago our private weatherstation went online via a solar powered battery buffered RPI running weewx 3.8.0. We really enjoy the template and hope to see and support further improvements. Our PWS is a fully equipped Davis Vantage Pro 2 Active with Leaf wetness, Soil Sensors and so on. The sensors for wind (measurement in 10m)will go online this weekend.
We will try to connect more Sensors to the RPI via I2C - but at this time its just an idea.

If you want to visit our project http://www.wetter-koblenz.com - we really love critics and ideas.

If anyone can help us to solve our problems to get the Soil Temperatures and Soil Moisture in the combined graph we would really appreciate that.

Nice greetings

Tom and Björn

Yes - and sorry - the battery died tonight... 12V/45Ah are not enough with that little solar power the last 2 weeks...
We are getting to improve that this weekend - double the capacity of the battery to 12V/90Ah. The solar panel will also get doubled later to 2x 100Wp - so we hope that this will not happen again next winter...
